In that time they have traveled with hundreds of guests
from all parts of the United States to the best private and
public gardens in Europe. Some regulars have traveled with
them every year since the first tour, a testament perhaps
to the friendly and relaxed nature of their tours and to
the 'full measure' they aim to give.
Jeff
earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Great Britain
and briefly studied at Louisiana State University in Baton
Rouge, where he met his wife,
Ginny. After
graduating , Ginny taught Landscape- Architecture at Mississippi State
University, while Jeff did doctorate work in History at the same institution.
After 5 years
of living in the US, they returned to England to establish a successful
landscape
design-build company, before forming Jeff Sainsbury Tours and concentrating
full-time on garden tours. They have two young sons and are currently restoring
a 18th century
farmhouse and creating a garden in rural SW France, where they now live.
